Coordination Council of Commissioners for human rights in Volga Federal District in Kazan

Today Commissioners for human rights in Volga Federal District touch upon the questions about protection of citizens ' rights to health and medical care; medical social expertise, provision of citizens with rehabilitation equipment and referrals to sanatorium-resort care;  protection of human rights in enabling environment.

Participants in the work of Council are following: the Commissioner for Human rights in the Russian Federation Tatyana Moskalkova, the Commissioner for Human rights in the Republic of Tatarstan Sariya Saburskaya, the Commissioners for Human rights from 13 territorial entities of Volga Federal District as well as Deputy Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Rimma Ratnikova and other heads of involved governmental agencies.

During the work of the Coordinating Council proposals concerning protection of citizens ' rights to health and medical care are formed. Proposals concerning medical social expertise, provision of citizens with rehabilitation equipment and referrals to sanatorium-resort care are addressed to Government of Russian Federation through Institute of Ombudsman. Another question pool is devoted to human rights in necessity of enabling environment in particular, breach of the peace and quiet of the citizens during night, the organization of activities on waste sorting, waste removal and waste recycling.

During the meeting ombudsmen express positive feedback to the leaders of institutions that have been previously visited. Guests pay a special attention to the experience of the Federal Institution "The main bureau of sociomedical expertising in the Republic of Tatarstan” in the part of conducting active explanatory work with citizens.

During visit to the City Clinical Hospital №7 Tatiana Moskalkova talks to patients from intake office, asks their impressions about the hospital as well as holds a press scrum.
